About a week ago, John and I (and Brady of course) traveled with my sister and her husband to Yosemite. It was seriously amazing! It was my first time there and WOW, it was incredible. The pictures don't really do it justice. We spent most of our time in Yosemite Valley where you get to experience these massive cliff walls on either side of the valley. So beautiful! We went hiking and biking and really just just enjoyed spending time with family. My sister is moving to Arkansas this summer, so it was great to be able to spend some quality time with her before she moves away. And let's be honest, she was a great babysitter! It was Brady's first camping trip...well...if you can call it camping.....we stayed in heated tents. I would totally recommend this trip to anyone, even if you don't like camping. It is worth it to see such beauty!
Brady got progressively more and more tired throughout the trip. By the end, he was a bit out of it as you can see from the picture. He was definitely a trooper! Below is the picture we took at the top of our hike. Brady basically slept the whole time...I love hiking with dead weight on my back!!!
heated tents?? I'm intrigued. I've never been to Yosemite either, I need to make some plans...after I buy a heated tent
ReplyDeletelooks like a blast sj! where did you guys get some heated tents? I love camping but my least favorite part is waking up freezing because your next to the side of the tent covered in du (i have no idea how to spell that!) the pics look great though i would love to see it in person!

ReplyDeleteAlso, Merica told me that she ran the half-marathon with you yesterday! How fun--good job. She said, "I didn't want to ask her since I don't know her--but does she wear contacts or are her eyes really that amazing?" I told her that I don't remember you wearing colored contacts but that I do remember your eyes being amazing. But I thought I'd double check. Natural? (Considering that little zarbock-huxley has the exact same eyes, I'm betting natural).
